Delivery of a new batch of equipment to Rooppur NPP successfully completed

As part of the project for construction of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, the project teams of Barrus Projects and Barrus Logistics have successfully completed the transportation of a new batch of ODC equipment to the construction site of Rooppur NPP in the Republic of Bangladesh

Main ODCs (deaerator tanks):

      1. 17,55 m õ 4,1 m õ 4,38 m / 80,5 t
      2. 18,65 m õ 4,1 m õ 4,38 m / 88,6 t

The equipment was exported from the Russian Federation via the port of Novorossiysk and then delivered on a sea vessel to the port of Mongla in the Republic of Bangladesh.

In the port of Mongla, Bangladesh, the project teams of Barrus Logistics and Barrus Projects have successfully unloaded the equipment and further delivered it to the construction site of Rooppur NPP.

It is important to note that delivery was carried out during the ‘drought’ season (low waters season), which required the construction of a berth 100 km from Rooppur NPP. Transportation of equipment to the site by road was carried out with the involvement of paramilitary and police convoys, as well as with the involvement of city power supply and telecommunications services to ensure uninterrupted supply for the residents of the country during the shutdown of lines for ODC transportation.

We are proud of the work carried out by our project teams and of our long-standing relationships and cooperation with ASE EC JSC and the State Atomic Energy Corporation ROSATOM.

The project teams of Barrus Projects and Barrus Logistics continue their active work for the needs of ASE EC JSC and ROSATOM State Corporation, including other facilities under construction at various divisions of ROSATOM.
