Delivery and installation of 3 Wind turbines with a total capacity of 900 KW in Tiksi

Barrus has delivered and installed large-sized equipment for the construction of an Arctic wind power plant located in a remote area of Yakutia with no transport infrastructure.

The construction site is located in one of the northernmost settlements of Russia with limited transport accessibility.

It was necessary to deliver 3 wind turbines from Japan to the construction site. The height of the towers is 41.5 m, the diameter of the blades is 33 m.

Barrus performed the following works:

  1. Acceptance of all parts of wind turbines in the port of Vladivostok (production of Japanese company Kamai), unload of wind turbines and their customs clearance.
  2. Road transportation of wind turbines on the Vladivostok-Yakutsk route, 18 units of equipment were involved, the delivery lasted 2.5 weeks.
  3. loading of wind turbines in the port of Yakutsk and delivery by river transport to the port of Tiksi.
It was carried out loading of all parts of the wind power plant as well as crane and automotive equipment in the port of Yakutsk for 2 bunker-type vessels.
  4. Unloading at the port of Tiksi and delivery of wind turbines to the installation sites. 
In the port of Tiksi were unloaded all parts of the wind turbine, together with automotive and crane equipment.
  5. The complex of construction and installation works of 3 wind turbines with a total power of 900 kW.

Installation was made by 2 automobile cranes with a loading capacity of 200 t. and 50 t.

Upon delivery of the Liebherr LTM 1200 crane, a partial disassembly and further Assembly of the crane boom were made.
